Our free, no-obligation temperament evaluation gives you the opportunity to meet with us, discuss your goals, and determine whether our basic training course is the best next step for you and your dog.
What to expect during your evaluation:
During your evaluation, we'll:

Learn about you, your dog, and your training goals

Meet your dog and perform a brief temperament and handling assessment, including interacting with and touching your dog to help us evaluate their comfort level and temperament.

Answer any questions about basic training or Legacy Therapy Dogs.

Recommend the next steps based on your dog's need and whether the class is the right fit.
Is an evaluation right for you?
Our free temperament evaluation may be helpful if:

You're unsure whether your dog is ready for a group training class.

Your dog is new to training, and you're not sure where to start.

You have questions about your dogs behavior or temperament.

You're interested in becoming part of Legacy Therapy Dogs and want to learn more about the process.

You'd simply like to meet us before registering.
Please Note:
Before you schedule:

Evaluations are free and by appointment only.

A free evaluation is not required to enroll in our basic training course.

However, a successful temperament evaluation is required for any dog wishing to continue into the Legacy Therapy Dog Program.

If you begin basic without scheduling an evaluation we'll work with you to complete it before the final night of your course so you'll have everything needed to move forward.

Successful completion of an evaluation does not reserve your spot in an upcoming course.

For the safety of all participants, dogs that display aggressive or reactive behavior towards people or other dogs are not eligible to join our classes.
