LEGACY THERAPY DOGS

The Legacy Therapy Dogs can help students improve literacy skills and provide a non-stressful, non-judgmental environment. After all; Dogs Don’t judge, they just listen. Reading with a dog increases self-confidence and encourages a love of reading in specific and learning in general. The Legacy Therapy dogs are great in all learning environments! They help ease stress right before a big exam which can improve tests scores, they help give support to struggling readers and they also help children focus better. The Legacy Therapy Dogs provide a focus for conversation and encourage communication. They can help fearful children become more self assured, help children overcome speech and emotional disorders and they can help relieve stress and anxiety ~ especially with autistic children.We also work with teachers, social workers and counselors to help students deal with anger, pain and sadness
