Our therapy dog family is made up of pups of all breeds and backgrounds - each with a unique story and special way of bringing comfort. The legacy they leave behind
These special dogs left paw prints on our hearts and helped shape the foundation of Legacy Therapy Dogs. Though they've crossed the rainbow bridge, their spirit continues to guide our mission and inspire every therapy dog team who continues their work.
Mater
Mater was a Basset Hound. He passed in 2022, and his Legacy was the driving force that started Legacy Therapy Dogs. He made over 600 visits throughout his career as a therapy dog and he loved connecting with everyone he met.
Oliver
Oliver was a Black Labrador Retriever. He crossed the rainbow bridge in December of 2024. In his one year with Legacy, he made hundreds of connections.
